When I started playing basketball in early high school I naturally became interested in the NBA, the best basketball league in the world. Not having ties to any US city (I'd never even been to the US) I gravitated to the Dallas Mavericks, who had just finished the second-worst season in NBA history with a 11-71 record in 1992/3. I've always liked underdogs and it seemed they could use my psychic support the most. And now here we are! 19 years later, Dallas have won their first championship and I couldn't be happier. Dirk Nowitzki is an all-time great, an incredibly gutsy, determined and uniquely-talented player, I'm glad he has a ring, along with Jason Kidd, Jason Terry and the rest. And what an amazing series! The best I've ever seen.
